Engraved t.p.; on verso an engraving of the arms of Christian IV, King of Denmark, followed by one leaf bearing on recto a similar engraving of the arms of John Adolphus, archbishop of Bremen, and on verso two passages from Deuteronomy within a border. Each of the part-titles is enclosed within a woodcut frame, and woodcut borders surround the passages printed on verso. Woodcut illustrations occur also in the text, printed within borders.

This triglot contains the Old Testament in the Greek Septuagint version, the Latin Bible in the Vulgate and in S. Pagninus' version (O.T.) and Beza's (N.T.), the German Bible in M. Luther's translation, and the original Greek New Testament (cf. British Museum catalog). It is sometimes known as the Hamburg polyglot.

Text printed in four columns (Greek, Vulgate, Latin text of Pagninus (O.T., Beza in N.T.), and Luther (order reversed on verso). References in inner column and notes and comment in italic in narrow outer column. Titles at top of page in Greek, Latin and German with folio no. at outer corner on recto, and chapter no. on verso. Catchwords at foot of each column.

Full leather binding over beveled double raised cords; yellow catskin; panel stamped with blind tooling, rectangular center with a warrior; bosses and clasps.
